At Dead Swanky, your safety and wellbeing are our highest priority. Patch (skin) tests are an essential part of our colour service process and are required in accordance with industry best practice and manufacturer guidelines.
When a Patch Test Is Required
A patch test is mandatory for all colour services in the following circumstances:
- If you are a new client
- If you have not had a colour service with us in the last 6 months
- If there has been a change to your colour formula
- If you have experienced a reaction to hair colour in the past
- If you have used box dyes or home colouring products since your last visit
- If advised by a member of our team
Timing of Patch Tests
Patch tests must be completed at least 48 hours before your scheduled colour appointment.
This allows sufficient time to monitor for any adverse reactions.
Patch tests are quick and complimentary, but must be booked in advance.
On the Day of Your Colour Appointment
If a patch test has not been completed within the required timeframe, we will be unable to carry out your colour service, and your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
In such cases, cancellation terms may apply in line with our booking policy.
Your Responsibility
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure a patch test has been completed when required. By booking a colour service at Dead Swanky, you confirm that you understand and agree to this policy.
Our Commitment
We are committed to delivering beautiful results in a safe, professional, and responsible environment. Patch testing allows us to provide colour services with confidence, care, and peace of mind for both our clients and our team.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding patch testing, our team will be happy to advise
